- Hi All I got to know Dave's music through a friend who had a copy of the original album. He then went off to University and I never got to hear it again but always missed it. So great to find you again. I downloaded the MP3 clips and sang along remembering all the words as if it were yesterday. Then it was straight to the on-line shop to finally get my own copy. Now I have to catch up with your output over the last 30 years! I'm looking forward to it.

And you were the featured performer!Over the yearsm those of us who were involved in those programmes have lost some wonderful folks including, recently, Cliff Aungier. I just wanted to send my regards and best wishes and to let you know that you'll always be part of the good memories I carry from those early days. Days which, I'm pretty certain, will remain a unique chapter in the history of British radio.

On the way back we were just agreeing that the occasion is always worth the effort - then we hit the M25 closure between junctions 6 and 5. During the 90 minute diversion we still agreed it was worth it! Thanks once again.

For a minute I was fearful it was some sort of attempt to convert atheists, but after I "Googled" the lyrics (as I'd only heard about 5 seconds of the song at that point), I realized it was satire and smiled joyously. Keep up the nice work!

I will look for your albums when I return to UK at Christmas. Any chance of a tour in US? If so, please let me know if you will be near Chicago.

Hi Bengt. I remember playing in Stockholm very well. Mainly for the reason that Abba were engaged in winning the Eurovision Song Contest on one of the nights I was playing and the audience disappeared half way throught the gig to go and watch the program on a TV in the hotel lobby! As regards Sonet Records, I thing they were taken over by another company and I have no idea who has the tapes of my first album now. However, if you can find any trace of Sonet I'd love to hear about it, so maybe I would get to hold dear old Rod (would you buy a used car from this man?) Buckle by the ankles to see if I could get any loose change out of him.

Dear Dave and Boo You don't need all that electrickery to excite a folk club audience . Why not ditch the instruments altogether , and compile a long set of unaccompanied sea shanties . If you were to perform them dressed only in Wellington boots , whilst showering each other with buckets of freezing cold salt water it would certainly add to the ambience. ps : Grow a beard ( you know it makes sense ) Henry Haddock Jnr

Hi Dave (& Boo). I'm sorry I had to dash off from the Cabbage Patch early tonight (OK...VERY early!). Long boring reason, but rest assured it was..... a. nothing personal b. not a one man protest against the presence of a five string electric bass (and a headless one at that!) at a humble little folk club. c. no reflection on the fact that you refused to take that scarf off! d. or the fact that Boo refused to obey the Cabbage Patch "no crisp eating during performance" rule. I'm studying the gig list

Just seen you perform a great set at the Cabbage Patch pub in Isleworth. Spoke to Dave briefly afterwards about trying to get on a mailing list for the new album as all the flyers had gone! Hope by leaving a message here that it might have the same result. I think 'Amber' was my favourite of your new songs. Look forward to seeing you again and thankds to my mate Gerry Evans for introducing me to your music in the first place.

Hello, I am a 16 year old male from Thorold, Ontario, Canada. My favourite guitar players are Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, and Jeff Martin from the Tea Party. Anyway i was just searching the net for alternate tunings and i ended up on the tips section of this page. I just want to say thank you for those tips some of them were very useful.

I wonder if your old mate Harry Bogdanovs, the one I used to know years ago. The one I knew lived on Eric Street, Oldham, Mum Astra, Dad Leo, sister Dinah, went to Clarksfield and Hathershaw schools. Ask him who white wilfred is.

Well of course some of us know it was you Flint! Someone asked me "Who kitted out the school band - Raymond's Revue Bar?" Thanks for the fab pics Chris. This internet thing is truly worrying in some respects when it brings the old school back to life! Graham Morrow's been here - any other old schoolfriends of mine out there?

You're sounding very comfy nowadays. Bring back the screaming parrot. Amber is smashing, like it. I prefer the first Indian Country. Although the second one is superbly crafted, you'd have to be on Prozac to be that relaxed when surrounded by flying arrows and scalp hunters. The first version has a rawer edge more suited to the subject. Mirror Man is a bloody great song but too obviously slowed down. Fab music though guys, love it massively.

Caption competition. 1. Poets host gig in toilets. 2. Dave vanishes up his own arse. 3. Boo's Millenium Dome job helps keep fans at bay.

Hey, great to hear the work in progress. "My finest hour" played in Quicktime but my dear old favourite "won't let loving ..." didn't. Is it okay? Maybe I'll try downloading it again. I've got some old live recordings of that that could be mp3ed if people are interested in hearing where it developed from.
